57 Nissan Rogue Statistics: Sales, Specifications and Safety Data

Nissan Rogue statistics span U.S. sales trends, 2024 U.S.-market specifications, controlled safety measurements and driver-assistance exposure. The figures below distinguish model years, test vehicles, study populations and manufacturer ratings so that sales, dimensions and safety metrics are not treated as interchangeable outcomes.

Nissan reported that Rogue calendar-year 2023 sales rose 45.6% from 2022, while fourth-quarter 2023 sales rose 7.1% from Q4 2022. The 2023 annual result is a model-sales change, not a global or registration-based estimate.

For context, Nissan Group U.S. sales were 729,350 in 2022, down 25.4% from 977,639 in 2021. Nissan Division sales were 682,731 in 2022, down 25.7% from 919,086 in 2021; both totals include more than the Rogue.

Nissan Group U.S. sales reached 898,796 in 2023, up 23.2% from 2022, while Nissan Division sales reached 834,097, up 22.2%. The Group total includes INFINITI, and the Division total is not Rogue-only.

Source: Nissan Group reports 2023 fourth quarter and 2023 calendar year U.S. Sales. Nissan recorded 306 U.S. selling days in 2023 versus 307 in 2022, so selling-day counts provide operational context but are not themselves a demand measure.

2024 Nissan Rogue Engine and Dimensions Data

The following figures describe the 2024 U.S.-market Rogue and are manufacturer specifications. They are ratings or stated dimensions, not independent performance tests.

Specification 2024 Rogue figure
Engine displacement 1.5 liters / 1,498 cc
Rated power 201 hp at 5,600 rpm
Peak torque 225 lb-ft at 2,800–4,000 rpm
Variable compression ratio 8.0:1–14.0:1
Maximum engine speed 6,000 rpm
Wheelbase 106.5 in
Overall length 183.0 in
Overall width 72.4 in
Overall height 66.5 in
Minimum ground clearance 8.2 in
Listed coefficient of drag 0.33 Cd

Source: 2024 Nissan Rogue Press Kit. The press kit does not state test conditions for the coefficient of drag.

The engine’s variable compression ratio spans 8.0:1 to 14.0:1, and its maximum listed speed is 6,000 rpm. Overall, the dimensions specify a 106.5-inch wheelbase within a 183.0-inch body, with 8.2 inches of minimum ground clearance.

Nissan Rogue Cargo, Towing and Interior Measurements

Interior and capacity values vary by trim, drivetrain, seat position and cargo-floor configuration. The figures below retain those conditions rather than presenting every Rogue as identical.

Capacity or measurement Figure and scope
Passenger-compartment volume 105.4 cu ft without moonroof
Cargo, second row folded 74.1 cu ft
Cargo behind upright second row 31.6 cu ft, S/SV, forward-most seat position
Cargo behind upright second row 36.5 cu ft, SL/Platinum, Divide-N-Hide low position
Fuel tank 14.5 U.S. gal
Properly equipped trailer rating 1,500 lb
Maximum tongue weight 150 lb

Source: 2024 Nissan Rogue Press Kit. The two upright-second-row cargo figures are grade- and configuration-specific.

The listed passenger-compartment volume is 105.4 cubic feet without a moonroof, while folded-second-row cargo volume is 74.1 cubic feet. Behind the upright second row, the press kit lists 31.6 cubic feet for S/SV grades and 36.5 cubic feet for SL/Platinum when Divide-N-Hide is in its low position.

The 2024 Rogue’s front legroom is 41.5 inches and second-row legroom is 38.5 inches. Front shoulder room is 57.1 inches, compared with 55.9 inches in the second row.

Drivetrain and grade range Curb-weight range
AWD, S through Platinum 3,569–3,739 lb
FWD, S through Platinum 3,452–3,607 lb

Nissan Rogue Crash-Test Injury and Intrusion Measurements

IIHS measurements are from controlled crash tests using specific Rogue vehicles and anthropomorphic dummies. They are not real-world crash rates, population injury rates or forecasts of an individual outcome.

Test and vehicle Measurement
Driver-side small overlap, 2021 Rogue SV 4WD 11 cm maximum lower hinge-pillar intrusion
Driver-side small overlap, 2021 Rogue SV 4WD 9 cm footrest intrusion
Driver-side small overlap, 2021 Rogue SV 4WD dummy 28 mm chest compression
Passenger-side small overlap, 2022 Rogue S 4WD dummy HIC-15 91
Passenger-side small overlap, 2022 Rogue S 4WD dummy 23 mm chest compression
Passenger-side small overlap, 2022 Rogue S 4WD dummy Maximum Nij 0.19

Source: 2024 Nissan Rogue. HIC-15 and Nij are controlled dummy metrics.

The original moderate-overlap test of a 2021 Rogue SV 4WD recorded 4 cm of brake-pedal intrusion and a driver HIC-15 of 289. In the updated side test, driver HIC-15 was 290 with peak hard-contact acceleration of 81 g, while passenger HIC-15 was 455 with 89 g.

The same updated side test recorded maximum and average driver torso deflection of 24 mm and 23 mm. Passenger maximum and average torso deflection were 22 mm and 20 mm.

Nissan Rogue Lighting and Child-Seat Safety Measurements

The IIHS 2021-26 model rating reports useful illumination at 5 lux for Rogue all trims. These are controlled headlight-test distances affected by test conditions and beam aim, not a guarantee of nighttime visibility in every setting.

Beam and test location Right edge Left edge
Low beam, straightaway 120.6 m 57.6 m
Low beam, 250 m radius curves 76.4 m 59.4 m
Low beam, 150 m radius curves 58.8 m 49.5 m
High beam, straightaway 172.2 m 158.0 m

Source: 2024 Nissan Rogue. Illumination figures are measured at 5 lux under the IIHS test protocol.

The supplied IIHS measurements therefore distinguish straightaway performance from two curve radii and low beam from high beam. They should be read as test observations for Rogue all trims under the stated rating scope, not as a real-world collision or injury statistic.

Nissan Rogue Driver-Assistance Exposure Statistics

HLDI studied 2017-19 Nissan Rogue 2WD and 4WD vehicles. Its percentages describe collision exposure with listed features, not feature-installation rates across every Rogue on the road and not causal effectiveness estimates by themselves.

Feature or denominator HLDI figure
Forward emergency braking present 52% of collision exposure
Intelligent Cruise Control present 18% of collision exposure
ProPILOT Assist present 6% of collision exposure
2WD collision-exposure units 282,951
4WD collision-exposure units 415,960
Combined 2WD and 4WD exposure 698,911 units

Source: HLDI Bulletin: Advanced Driver Assistance Systems on the 2017–19 Nissan Rogue. The exposure denominator is study-specific, not registrations or crashes alone.

The HLDI regression used the 2017-19 Rogue exposure data and compared age groups with an omitted 40-49 reference group. The resulting values are modeled coefficients, not population crash probabilities.

  • Drivers aged 14-24 had a modeled coefficient of 11.8% relative to the omitted 40-49 group.
  • Drivers aged 25-29 had a modeled coefficient of 9.4% relative to the omitted 40-49 group.
  • Drivers aged 70 and older had a modeled coefficient of 13.0% relative to the omitted 40-49 group.

These age coefficients should remain separate from the feature-exposure percentages: one describes a regression comparison, while the other describes the share of study collision exposure in which a listed driver-assistance feature was present.
